What is CVE-2026-30963?

Capsule is a multi-tenancy and policy-based framework for Kubernetes that aims to provide robust namespace management. A vulnerability exists in versions prior to 0.13.0 due to the webhook failing to define interception rules for the namespace/finalize and namespace/status subresources. This oversight allows tenant administrators with appropriate permissions to bypass security measures, thus enabling namespace hijacking. Mitigations include upgrading to version 0.13.0 or adjusting the ValidatingWebhookConfiguration to include these subresources.

Affected Version(s)

capsule < 0.13.0
