What is CVE-2026-32056?

OpenClaw versions earlier than 2026.2.22 are susceptible to a remote code execution vulnerability due to inadequate sanitization of shell startup environment variables, specifically HOME and ZDOTDIR, within the system.run function. This flaw permits remote attackers to circumvent command allowlist protections by injecting malicious startup files like .bash_profile or .zshenv. Once these files are executed, attackers can execute arbitrary code prior to the evaluation of allowlist-enforced commands, potentially compromising the entire system.
