What is CVE-2026-32121?

OpenEMR, a widely-used open-source electronic health records platform, contains a stored XSS vulnerability in its prescription print view, impacting the way patient demographics are rendered. This vulnerability arises from the server-side processing of unsanitized patient names, which are subsequently displayed in HTML through client-side scripting. As a result, malicious users may exploit this flaw to execute arbitrary scripts in a user's browser, jeopardizing the security of sensitive patient information. Affected versions include all prior to 8.0.0.1, which introduces necessary fixes to mitigate these risks.
