What is CVE-2026-33052?

Mantis Bug Tracker is an open-source issue tracking system that contains a vulnerability allowing low-privileged authenticated users with the 'add_profile_threshold' permission to create global profiles. This can be exploited by modifying the user_id parameter in a legitimate profile creation request, bypassing the necessary permissions for managing global profiles. The issue has been addressed in MantisBT version 2.28.2, which restores proper access controls and prevents unauthorized profile creation.
