Denial of Service Vulnerability in DNSdist by PowerDNS
CVE-2026-33254
5.3MEDIUM
What is CVE-2026-33254?
A vulnerability in DNSdist allows attackers to exploit its handling of DoQ and DoH3 connections. By initiating a large number of concurrent connections, an attacker can trigger excessive memory allocation, ultimately resulting in a denial of service. Notably, the DoQ and DoH3 protocols are disabled by default, reducing exposure unless actively enabled.
