What is CVE-2026-33256?

A flaw exists in the PowerDNS Recursor where an attacker can exploit the internal web server to cause uncontrolled memory allocation. This can lead to a denial of service scenario, disrupting the normal operations of the server. Notably, the internal web server is disabled by default, but if activated, it can be targeted through specially crafted web requests.
