What is CVE-2026-3344?
A critical vulnerability exists within WatchGuard Fireware OS that allows attackers to circumvent filesystem integrity checks. This exploit could enable a malicious actor to achieve limited persistence by deploying a specially crafted firmware update package. The vulnerability affects several versions of Fireware OS, including those from 12.0 through 12.11.7, 12.5.9 through 12.5.16, and also from 2025.1 up to 2026.1.1, posing a significant risk to the integrity of the networking systems relying on these versions.
