What is CVE-2026-33476?

The SiYuan personal knowledge management system, prior to version 3.6.2, has exposed a significant security vulnerability allowing directory traversal. An unauthenticated file-serving endpoint at /appearance/*filepath fails to properly sanitize input paths. This oversight permits attackers to exploit the vulnerability, gaining unauthorized access to arbitrary server files without the need for valid credentials. Users are recommended to upgrade to the latest version to mitigate risks associated with this vulnerability.
