What is CVE-2026-33483?

The WWBN AVideo platform, an open-source video hosting solution, contains a security flaw in the aVideoEncoderChunk.json.php endpoint. Versions up to 26.0 are affected due to a lack of authentication and resource limits within this standalone PHP script, which allows unauthenticated remote attackers to send arbitrary POST requests. This can lead to unauthorized data being written to persistent temporary files located in /tmp/, potentially exhausting server disk space and causing a denial of service. A patch has been released to address this issue.

Affected Version(s)

AVideo <= 26.0
