What is CVE-2026-33783?

A functionality flaw in the sensor interface of Juniper Networks' Junos OS Evolved on PTX Series permits a network-based, authenticated attacker with limited privileges to induce a complete Denial of Service (DoS). When colored SRTE policy tunnels are established via PCEP and gRPC is utilized to monitor traffic, the system experiences a crash that does not self-restart, resulting in persistent service disruption. The anomaly occurs when the Originator ASN field in PCEP exceeds a value of 65,535. Recovery necessitates a manual system restart. This issue does not manifest when SRTE policy tunnels are configured statically.
