What is CVE-2026-33799?

An Out-of-bounds Write vulnerability exists in the SNMP daemon (snmpd) of Juniper Networks' Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved. This flaw permits an authenticated network-based attacker to send specific SNMPv3 queries that can trigger a memory leak over time. As these queries are continuously received, the process memory of snmpd is gradually exhausted, leading to a crash and subsequent restart of the process. This impacts system monitoring through SNMP, creating significant availability concerns.
