What is CVE-2026-33923?

A signature verification flaw was identified in the update installation mechanism of Nozomi Networks appliances. This issue arises from inconsistent validation of update bundle contents. An attacker possessing administrative privileges can exploit this vulnerability by delivering a specially crafted update bundle that deceptively passes signature checks. When the affected update is executed, an unsigned script is triggered to run with elevated root privileges. This can lead to unauthorized access to sensitive information, alterations to device configurations, or even complete shutdown of the appliance, posing significant risks to the operational integrity of the network.
