What is CVE-2026-34228?

Emlog, an open-source website development platform, is susceptible to a vulnerability that allows attackers to perform arbitrary SQL execution and write files through the backend upgrade interface. Prior to version 2.6.8, the system does not properly validate CSRF tokens, allowing malicious actors to exploit this flaw by tricking an authenticated administrator into accessing a harmful link. The vulnerability arises from the acceptance of remote SQL and ZIP URLs via GET parameters, which leads to unauthorized execution of SQL and extraction of ZIP files directly into the web root directory. The issue has been resolved in version 2.6.8, making prompt upgrading essential for users.
