What is CVE-2026-34834?

Bulwark Webmail is a self-hosted webmail client that faced a significant vulnerability due to a flaw in its verifyIdentity() function. Prior to version 1.4.10, this function erroneously returned true if no session cookies were found. Consequently, this flaw enabled unauthenticated attackers to bypass essential security checks and manipulate user settings through the /api/settings endpoint by sending arbitrary header values. This vulnerability has been addressed and patched in version 1.4.10, reinforcing the security posture of the application.
