What is CVE-2026-34883?

A symbolic link vulnerability was found in the Portrait Dell Color Management application prior to version 3.7.0 that affects Dell monitors. This issue allows low-privileged local users on Windows systems to escalate their privileges to Administrator. When the software is installed, it improperly validates symbolic links at the destination path. An attacker can exploit this by creating a malicious symbolic link, redirecting file operations to an arbitrary location on the system. Consequently, this can lead to unauthorized file creation or overwriting files with elevated permissions.
