What is CVE-2026-35164?

Brave CMS, an open-source content management system, contains an unrestricted file upload vulnerability in the CKEditor upload functionality found in the app/Http/Controllers/Dashboard/CkEditorController.php file. This flaw occurs as the ckupload method fails to properly validate uploaded file types and relies solely on user input. Consequently, this allows authenticated users to upload harmful PHP scripts, posing a risk of Remote Code Execution. The vulnerability has been remedied in version 2.0.6, and users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to secure their systems.
