The Pi-hole FTL engine, utilized for processing DNS queries and providing analytics through an interactive API, experienced a significant vulnerability affecting versions from 6.0 up to, but not including, 6.6. This flaw resides in the handling of DNS CNAME records, allowing authenticated attackers to inject arbitrary dnsmasq configuration directives via newline characters.
