Improper Hostname Validation Flaw in libsoup Affects Red Hat Products
CVE-2026-3632

3.9LOW

What is CVE-2026-3632?

A vulnerability identified in libsoup, the library used for sending network requests, arises from its failure to correctly validate hostnames. This oversight permits the injection of special characters into HTTP headers, potentially enabling a remote attacker to execute HTTP smuggling techniques. By embedding malicious requests within legitimate traffic, an attacker may initiate Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) attacks. Though the actual use of SoupServer in internet infrastructure is limited, the implications of this vulnerability can lead to unauthorized server requests, thus compromising the security of both internal and external systems.
