What is CVE-2026-3714?

A critical security issue has been identified in OpenCart version 4.0.2.3 affecting the Save function within the admin/controller/design/template.php file. This vulnerability is a result of improper neutralization of special elements used in the template engine, which can be exploited by an attacker remotely. Notably, this flaw is linked to an incomplete fix associated with a previous vulnerability (CVE-2024-36694). Despite attempts to notify the vendor of the disclosure, there has been no response.
