What is CVE-2026-3778?

The vulnerability arises from the application’s failure to detect cyclic references in PDF object structures during JavaScript processing. When malformed PDFs are created with looping references, it can trigger deep traversals through the document's structure via APIs, such as SOAP. This leads to severe consequences, including stack exhaustion and potential crashes of the application, impacting user experience and document accessibility.
