Improper HTTP Proxy Connection Handling in curl by cURL Project
CVE-2026-3784
6.5MEDIUM
What is CVE-2026-3784?
The cURL tool contains a flaw that allows for the improper reuse of existing HTTP proxy connections when executing CONNECT requests. This issue arises particularly when the incoming request uses different authentication credentials than those previously established. Instead of creating a separate connection for the new request, cURL erroneously reuses the existing connection, potentially leading to unauthorized access and exposure of sensitive information.
