What is CVE-2026-40524?

FrontAccounting prior to version 2.4.20 contains an SQL injection vulnerability in the get_gl_transactions() function. This issue arises because the filter_type parameter is concatenated directly into a SQL IN() clause without proper parameterization. Malicious actors with SA_GLANALYTIC permission can exploit this vulnerability by injecting arbitrary SQL commands, potentially allowing access to sensitive journal entry data through boolean-based blind SQL injection. This manipulation can be executed by providing specific input that includes a closing parenthesis followed by crafted conditions, which can lead to unauthorized data exposure.
