What is CVE-2026-40601?

In Chartbrew version 4.9.0, a significant vulnerability allows unauthorized users to access the POST /api/chart/:chart_id/query endpoint without sufficient authentication. This flaw stems from the endpoint's reliance on team.allowReportRefresh without confirming chart ownership or public project status. An attacker aware of a chart's ID can exploit this weakness to refresh data and extract sensitive information from private charts. The issue has been addressed and resolved in version 5.0.0.
