What is CVE-2026-41470?

The LIVE555 RTSP server is susceptible to an authorization bypass vulnerability that arises from improper handling of session commands. This flaw can be exploited by attackers who gain access to valid session tokens via unauthenticated connections, allowing them to execute PLAY and TEARDOWN commands through a secondary TCP connection. As a result, this may lead to server crashes due to errors in virtual function calls, or disrupt ongoing streams by forcibly terminating sessions of legitimate users. It is crucial for users of affected versions to apply the necessary patches to mitigate these risks.
