What is CVE-2026-41500?

Electerm, a versatile open-source terminal client supporting SSH, SFTP, and more, has a command injection vulnerability prior to version 3.3.8. The flaw originates from insufficient validation in the runMac() function of the installation script, where user-controlled input is directly incorporated into an execution command. This oversight allows attackers to execute arbitrary commands on systems using vulnerable versions. Users are strongly advised to upgrade to the patched version 3.3.8 to mitigate potential security risks.
