What is CVE-2026-42025?

The TOTOLINK X2000R router is afflicted by several exploitable stack-based buffer overflow vulnerabilities within the boa formIpv6Setup dhcp_dns functionality. Exploit attempts using specially crafted HTTP requests can lead to arbitrary code execution, posing a significant risk. To exploit these vulnerabilities, an attacker must first authenticate and send a maliciously configured request that manipulates the dhcp_dns1 parameter.
