What is CVE-2026-42232?

An authenticated user with permissions to create or modify workflows on n8n, prior to the specified versions, could exploit a prototype pollution vulnerability in the XML Node. This flaw could lead to remote code execution (RCE) when coupled with other nodes, posing significant risks to the integrity of the platform. The issue has been addressed in versions 1.123.32, 2.17.4, and 2.18.1.
