What is CVE-2026-42542?

In certain versions of TDengine, an unauthenticated remote attacker has the ability to crash the taosd server process by sending a specially crafted RPC packet. This incident does not require any credentials or a prior session state. The vulnerability affects versions 3.4.0.0 through 3.4.1.5 and is resolved in version 3.4.1.6, ensuring enhanced security for users.
