What is CVE-2026-42867?

Langflow, a tool designed for creating and deploying AI-driven agents and workflows, is vulnerable to a Path Traversal issue found within its Knowledge Bases API (POST /api/v1/knowledge_bases). This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers to leverage improperly sanitized user-supplied knowledge base names to craft file paths. As a result, they can create directories and write files anywhere on the server's filesystem. The issue has been addressed in version 1.9.0, reinforcing the need for timely updates to protect against potential exploitation.
