OpenClaw prior to version 2026.4.9 contains a vulnerability that allows for authentication bypass, permitting attackers to enable untrusted workspace plugins automatically during the onboarding process. This vulnerability arises when provider authentication choices are hidden or shadowed, leading to the possibility of malicious plugins being selected and authorized without the user’s consent during the authentication setup.
