Open-source workout manager vulnerability exposes private user data by wger
CVE-2026-43977
7.5HIGH
What is CVE-2026-43977?
The wger workout and fitness manager has a vulnerability that allows authenticated users to gain unauthorized access to another user's private workout session notes, exercise history, and training statistics. This occurs through the custom actions /logs/ and /stats/, which are designed to show a user their own training data. However, a flawed permission check allows any user to see the private workout data of different users when the routine is marked as a template. This exposure of personal training data was resolved in version 2.6 of the software.
