What is CVE-2026-44179?

A vulnerability in XWiki Remote Macros allows for remote code execution due to improper handling of the included page's title within the excerpt-include macro. This flaw permits users, even without scripting rights, to inject executable macro syntax into the title or excerpt, leading to potential unauthorized actions within the XWiki installation. The issue has been addressed and fixed in version 1.14.5.
