What is CVE-2026-4426?

A vulnerability has been identified in libarchive related to the zisofs decompression logic, where insufficient validation of the field 'pz_log2_bs' from ISO9660 Rock Ridge extensions can result in undefined behavior. A remote attacker could exploit this flaw by sending a specially crafted ISO file, which may lead to incorrect memory allocation, application crashes, or potentially a denial-of-service (DoS) condition.
