What is CVE-2026-44266?

Elo, a functional expression language for no-code tools, contains a code injection vulnerability in its Ruby backend prior to version 1.0.1. An attacker can exploit this flaw because the system embeds unescaped, user-controlled text into Ruby double-quoted strings. As a consequence, certain entry points such as the /try playground allow execution of arbitrary Ruby code and shell commands through backticks. The vulnerability specifically affects Ruby emissions while JavaScript, Python, and SQL emissions remain untouched. This issue has been resolved in version 1.0.1.
