What is CVE-2026-44458?

The Hono web application framework exhibits a vulnerability where the JSX renderer fails to escape style attribute object values appropriately for CSS. As a result, an attacker can inject additional CSS declarations through untrusted input in style object values or property names. This can lead to improper CSS handling and manipulation, although it does not enable JavaScript execution or HTML attribute breakout. The vulnerability was addressed in version 4.12.18, which mitigates the risk effectively.
