The Open WebUI platform, designed for offline artificial intelligence operations, contains a Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability in versions prior to 0.8.0. Specifically, the unsafe previewing of Excel file attachments can lead to the injection of malicious scripts. A specifically crafted XLSX file can exploit the sheetjs function sheet_to_html, causing an unsanitized HTML payload to be added to the Document Object Model (DOM) through @html, thus triggering the XSS attack. This vulnerability has been addressed in version 0.8.0.
