What is CVE-2026-44551?

An improper authentication vulnerability exists in the Open WebUI platform prior to version 0.9.0, specifically within the LDAP authentication endpoint. This vulnerability allows attackers to bypass the login mechanism due to insufficient validation of password fields, enabling them to authenticate with an empty password. As a result, the vulnerable application can successfully bind to LDAP servers, issuing valid session tokens for unauthorized users, thus compromising user accounts. The issue has been addressed in version 0.9.0.
