What is CVE-2026-44828?

Qexo, an open-source online editor for static blogs, is prone to an authentication bypass vulnerability. Versions 4.0.0 through 4.2.0 allow unauthenticated users to access sensitive initialization APIs via the /api/init_step/ endpoint. This security flaw enables a malicious entity with a valid CSRF token, obtainable from public site pages, to initiate the setup process and reset the initialization settings, potentially exposing sensitive service credentials and other configuration information in the frontend response. This issue has been addressed in version 4.2.0.

Affected Version(s)
