A command injection vulnerability exists in the Wavlink WL-WN578W2 router affecting the POST Request Handler located in the /cgi-bin/firewall.cgi file. This vulnerability allows unauthorized remote attackers to manipulate the dmz_flag/del_flag arguments, potentially compromising the device's integrity. Despite early disclosure attempts to inform the vendor, Wavlink has not responded. The exploit is now public, presenting serious risks to users with this device version.
