What is CVE-2026-46235?

A flaw in the media driver for the saa7164 in the Linux kernel could lead to potential null pointer dereferences due to improper handling of ioremap return values. In scenarios where ioremap fails for PCI addressable regions, previously allocated memory regions may not be released properly. The fix ensures that if memory mapping for BAR0 or BAR2 fails, the allocated resources are cleaned up, the device is removed from the global device list, the device count is decremented, and an appropriate error code is returned. This enhancement improves system stability and reliability.
