What is CVE-2026-46364?

An unauthenticated SQL injection vulnerability exists in phpMyFAQ prior to version 4.1.2, specifically within the BuiltinCaptcha::garbageCollector() and BuiltinCaptcha::saveCaptcha() methods. This vulnerability allows attackers to exploit the public GET /api/captcha endpoint by sending malicious User-Agent headers. Consequently, this leads to time-based blind SQL injection attacks that can extract sensitive information, such as user credentials, admin tokens, and SMTP credentials from the underlying database.
