What is CVE-2026-46367?

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability exists in phpMyFAQ versions prior to 4.1.2. This flaw resides in the Utils::parseUrl() function, where authenticated users can exploit malformed URLs in comments. By crafting URLs with unescaped quotes, attackers can inject malicious JavaScript code into the application. When unsuspecting visitors access affected FAQ pages, these malicious scripts can execute within their browsers, potentially allowing attackers to steal session cookies and perform actions as admin users, leading to a complete compromise of the application.
