Data Exposure Vulnerability in OpenMetadata by OpenMetadata
CVE-2026-46481
8.3HIGH
What is CVE-2026-46481?
OpenMetadata, a unified metadata platform, has a vulnerability that allows non-admin SSO users to initiate a TEST_CONNECTION workflow for a Database Service. In the process, these users can access sensitive information in the HTTP 201 response, including the cleartext database password and the ingestion bot's JWT. This leaked information poses a significant risk, as the token can be exploited to access secure service APIs with elevated privileges. The issue has been resolved in version 1.12.4.
