What is CVE-2026-46499?

Collabora Online, a collaborative office suite powered by LibreOffice technology, has a vulnerability that allows read-only users to perform unauthorized document operations. Specifically, users with view-only permissions can exploit WebSocket messaging to issue document-modifying commands, misleading other co-viewers during live sessions. Although these changes are temporary and discarded at session end, they can confuse authorized editors who may save unintended modifications. This issue particularly affects versions released before 24.04.18 and 25.04.11 and has been addressed in subsequent updates.
