What is CVE-2026-47839?

A security flaw has been identified that allows users authenticating through a federated OpenID Connect (OIDC) provider to gain unauthorized access to the uaa.admin scope. This issue arises when the OIDC identity provider utilizes groupMappingMode: AS_SCOPES along with a wildcard entry in the externalGroupsWhitelist configuration. This vulnerability undermines the intended restrictions set by operators, potentially exposing sensitive administrative capabilities to unauthorized users.
