What is CVE-2026-48231?

The Open ISES Tickets application prior to version 3.44.2 has a significant SQL injection vulnerability located in the tables.php file. This issue arises from the unsafe concatenation of multiple POST parameters (tablename, indexname, sortby) into table and column identifiers within dynamically generated SELECT, UPDATE, and DELETE statements. Without proper input sanitization, authenticated attackers can exploit this flaw by crafting malicious requests that may lead to unauthorized access to database contents, allowing them to read, modify, or even delete data.
