What is CVE-2026-48246?

The Open ISES Tickets application prior to version 3.44.2 contains a vulnerability that disables TLS certificate verification in ajax/reports.php. This occurs during outbound HTTPS requests to the Google Maps Directions API when generating incident reports. By setting CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER to false, and neglecting to set CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST, this flaw allows an attacker on the network path to present a forged certificate. Consequently, they can intercept, monitor, or alter communications, potentially exposing sensitive data such as API keys or session tokens in transit.
