What is CVE-2026-48483?

The vulnerability in TypeBot allows a workspace user to manipulate the WhatsApp status forwarding feature, which improperly validates the webhook URL. This misconfiguration enables the server to issue HTTP requests to internal services and exposed endpoints, posing significant security risks. Users can exploit this by sending specially crafted status payloads to the TypeBot server, potentially accessing sensitive internal resources. The issue has been addressed in version 3.17.0, which includes mitigation measures to enhance webhook handling security.
