What is CVE-2026-48494?

In TypeBot version 3.16.1, a serious vulnerability allows an authenticated user with read access to manipulate WhatsApp preview sessions of other typebots. By improperly mixing an authorized typebotId and blockId with a foreign preview phone number, an attacker can inject arbitrary JSON into another workspace's WhatsApp preview session. This breach occurs because the WhatsApp test-webhook handler fails to correctly authenticate the preview chat session, relying solely on a format rather than validating access rights. Users are encouraged to upgrade to version 3.17.0, which addresses this vulnerability and enhances overall security.
