What is CVE-2026-48531?

GFI Archiver prior to version 15.13 is susceptible to a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability found within the Retention Policy configuration. This flaw allows authenticated attackers to exploit the policy name parameter in the RetentionPolicyWizard.aspx page to inject arbitrary web scripts or HTML. The injected malicious payload is stored by the function RetentionPolicyWizard.SaveAllConfigSettings() without proper output encoding, which subsequently executes in the browsers of users accessing the affected Retention and Spam Policies page.
